How the right food can help you give up smoking

How the right food can help you give up smoking

I was the only one of eight women who didn't light up as we waited for a train last night in Paris, which rather surprised me.
That having been said, the statistics show that more and more women, including a worryingly large proportion of young girls, are now regular smokers: 26 per cent of schoolgirls and 29 per cent of 16 to 19-year-old women, the same figure as for 35 to 49-year-olds.
It appears that girls regard smoking as a diet aid, giving hardly a thought to its harmful side effects.
Yet when she's older, virtually every female smoker's habit is reflected in her appearance, the tell-tale signs being grey and wrinkled skin, nicotine-stained teeth, lack-lustre hair and tired-looking eyes.
